As we pull out of the pandemic (ourselves included) some new businesses have emerged! This post we’ll be talking about new businesses outside of Bar Harbor (our last post was about Bar Harbor specifically).
In the meantime, we’ve heard from our business owning friends there are both hiring and supply chain issues which means everyone is doing their best so please be patient and keep buying local so these businesses can be with us for years to come!
Bub’s Burritos
Where: 18 Village Green Way, Southwest Harbor, ME 04679 (next to the police station)
What: Burritos made with homemade tortillas, homemade salsa, and other fresh ingredients
Having taken over Coda’s space, this food truck style breakfast and lunch spot specializes in burritos, and we’ve heard nothing but good things.

Acadia Outdoor Center
Where: Seal Harbor (main drag)
What: Retail shop and ice cream (gelato!)

Need outdoor gear, gelato, or daily/weekly bike rentals? Right down the road from a carriage road entrance, Acadia Outdoor Center has swag and online bike booking on their websites too.
Tom Cat Tide
Where: 16 Clark Point Road, Southwest Harbor
What: Artisan retail shop

With work from artisans all over the United States, including jewelry, home decor, toys and baby items, childrens books, and stationary. Run by a mother and her two daughters. Online store is coming soon.
Archie’s Lobster Food Truck
Where: 90 Tremont Road, Bass Harbor
What: Seafood truck open at noon til supplies run out

Lobster quesadillas and lobster grilled cheese, with lobster rolls and fish chowders you’d expect. With great outdoor seating area to enjoy the fresh catch.
Quietside Snacks
Where: 298 Maine 102, Tremont
What: A food truck for ‘happy campers’

Mac and cheese, tacos, chicken sandwiches… this truck has something for everyone. Open 11-7 in season, this airstream has some picnic tables so you can grab and go or stay and eat.
